The relic is identified on a paper cedula as Ex Cineribvs / S. Ioannis Bapt. (from the ashes of Saint John the Baptist) and secured by a perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax with a coat of arms of Fr. Giovanni Valentini, Vicar General to the Archbishop of Milan. Comes in an original fitted tooled leather case of issue.
