19th century silvered brass oval theca housing relics of the True Cross of Jesus Christ. The relics are arranged in cruciform shape, affixed to a background of red silk and titled on paper cedula as D.N.J.C. ([of the wood from the True Cross of] Our Lord Jesus Christ). The back of the theca under protective cap is secured by a perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax with a coat of arms of Italian bishop.
