Late -18th century oval silver crystal-fronted theca housing significant first class ex ossibus relic of Saint Anne, Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The relic is affixed to a background of gold silk and titled on paper cedula in bi-color ink as S. Annae Math (Sain Anne, Mother). The back of the theca is secured by a perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax with a coat of arms of Monsignor Bernardino Honorati (+1807), Catholic cardinal and Archbishop of Senigallia, Italy. Comes with original certification document dated 1793 and signed by fr. Francesco Antonio Marcucci in the capacity of Bishop of Montalto, Italy.
