Oval glass-fronted silver reliquary theca housing scarce ex subucula (from the chemise or tunic) relics of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The relics are affixed to a gold silk background around gold and silver twisted wire ornamentation and identified on a paper cedula as B.V.M. (Beatae Mariae Virginis). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is protected by a seal of red wax with a clear imprint of a coat of arms of Fr. Felice Cantimorri O.F.M. Cap. (†), Bishop of Parma (1854 - 1870). The reliquary is accompanied by a matching authentics document issued and signed by Fr. Cantimorri in 1869.
