1955 Documented theca with first-class relic of Saint Pope Pius X

Round glass-fronted theca housing first-class ex carne (of the flesh) relic of Pope Saint Pius X accompanied by matching authentics document issued in 1955 by the Postulator of the Cause for Beatification and Canonization of Pius X. The precious relic is affixed to the red silk background and identified in Latin on a typographic cedula label as "S. Pius Pp. X" (Saint Pope Pius X). On the back, under the protective cap, the reliquary is secured by a preserved seal of the red Spanish wax with a coat of arms of the Vatican's Postulator General.  The document is laminated in clear plastic for safekeeping.

Pope Saint Pius X (†1914) was Pope from August 1903 to his death in 1914 and was canonized in 1954. Pius X is known for vigorously opposing modernist interpretations of Catholic doctrine, promoting traditional devotional practices and orthodox theology. His most important reform was to order the codification of the first Code of Canon Law, which collected the laws of the Church into one volume for the first time. He was also considered a pastoral pope, in the sense of encouraging personal holiness, piety, and a daily lifestyle reflecting deep Christian values. He is a Holy Patron of Society of Saint Pius X, Archdiocese of Atlanta, Georgia; Diocese of Des Moines, Iowa; first communicants; Diocese of Great Falls-Billings, Montana; Archdiocese of Kottayam, India; Esperantists; pilgrims; Santa Luċija, Malta; Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Archdiocese of Zamboanga, Philippines; emigrants from Treviso; Patriarchy of Venice; and Catechists.
