1993 Documented reliquary theca with relics of St. Maria Faustyna Kowalska of the Blessed Sacrament

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of a bone) pre-canonization relics of St. Maria Faustyna Kowalska. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as Beata Sr. Faustina (Blessed Sister [Maria] Faustyna).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued on August 17, 1993 (the year of her beatification) by the Postulator General of the Congregation.

St. Maria Faustyna Kowalska, OLM (†1938), also known as Maria Faustyna Kowalska of the Blessed Sacrament, Faustyna popularly spelled "Faustina," was a Polish Catholic religious sister and mystic. Her apparitions of Jesus Christ inspired the Roman Catholic devotion to Divine Mercy and earned her the title of "Secretary of Divine Mercy." Throughout her life, Kowalska reported having visions of Jesus and conversations with him, which she noted in her diary. She was beatified on 18 April 1993 and canonized on 30 April 2000. Her feast day is commemorated on 5 October. The mystic is classified in the liturgy as a virgin and is venerated within the church as the "Apostle of Divine Mercy."
