1991 Vatican documented reliquary with relic of St. Clare of Assisi

Round yellow-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Saint Clare of Assisi. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as S. Clarae V. (Saint Clare, Virgin. On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Monsignor Petrus Canisius van Lierde († 1995), the Vicar General for the Vatican City State (1951–1991). The reliquary is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued by the Vicar General of Rome in 1989. 

Saint Clare of Assisi († 1253) is an Italian saint and one of the first followers of Saint Francis of Assisi. She founded the Order of Poor Ladies, a monastic religious order for women in the Franciscan tradition, and wrote their Rule of Life, the first set of monastic guidelines known to have been written by a woman. She is a patron of Eye disease, goldsmiths, laundry, television, embroiderers, gilders, good weather, needleworkers, Santa Clara Pueblo, Obando.
