Theca with a first-class ex ossibus relic of Saint Francis Caracciolo

Glass-fronted silver reliquary theca housing first class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Saint Francis Caracciolo. The relic is identified on a paper cedula label as S. Franciscii Caracciolo and secured by perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax with coat of arms of Luigi Fransoni († 1862) Archbishop of Turin (1832-1862).

Saint Francis Caracciolo (†1608), born Ascanio Pisquizio, was an Italian Catholic priest who, with John Augustine Adorno, co-founded the Congregation of the Clerics Regular Minor.
