Oval glass-fronted brass theca housing large first-class pre-canonization relic of the Seven Holy Founders of the Servite Order.The relic is affixed to a multi-color silk background surrounded by gilt paperole and twisted silver wire ornamentation and titled on a handwritten cedula label as BB. Sept. Fund / Ord. Serv. B.M.V. (Blessed Seven Founders of the Servite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary). On the back the theca is secured with a perfectly preserved red wax seal with a coat of arms of a Catholic Bishop.
The Seven Holy Founders of the Servite Order (Ordo Servorum Beatae Mariae Virginis) were: Buonfiglio dei Monaldi (Bonfilius), Giovanni di Buonagiunta (Bonajuncta), Amadeus of the Amidei (Bartolomeus), Ricovero dei Lippi-Ugguccioni (Hugh), Benedetto dell' Antella (Manettus), Gherardino di Sostegno (Sostene), and Alessio de' Falconieri (Alexius). They have a common feast day on 17 February. All seven were beatified December 1, 1717 by Pope Clement XI and canonized by Pope Leo XIII in 1888.
