The relic came in. I wanted to cry. My heart was so overwhelmed with joy. On my 25th anniversary the Discalsed Monastery celebrated mass with me in their cloister. The Mother Prioress with the sisters came be a hard bound copy of his writings and his life. I feel it was the hand of Blessed Francisco was moving them. And with this holy relic he is moving me. I will do a more intensive study of him. I will place his relic in the large reliquary I have with John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila, and Therese of Liseaux. He will be at home.

Small Russian Finift Porcelain icon of St. Macarius of Unzha

An oval hand-painted velvet-backed finift porcelain icon in its original brass frame depicting Saint Macarius of Unzha. Some craquelure on the surface, otherwise - good original condition.

St. Venerable Macarius of Unzha, Zheltovodsky (of Yellow Lake) and Unzhensky (of Unzha) (ca. 1349-1444) is a Russian Orthodox saint credited with the founding of four monasteries in the Middle and Upper Volga regions of Russia. His feast day is celebrated on July 25.
