Agostino Albergotti, (†1825) was a bishop of Arezzo (1802 - 1825). Member of the noble Arsenal family, he first studied with the Jesuits in Arezzo and Prato, and then in the Collegio di Urbino. He moved to Rome to deepen his theological studies, and made significant connections with important figures of the Roman Curia. He was ordained as bishop of Arezzo in 1802 and devoted himself to intense pastoral activity and was particularly attentive to the formation of the clergy and assistance to the needy, to which he dedicated a considerable capital. He was reputed to be of an Exorcist and the document that comes with this reliquary proves that he was, indeed, performing Exorcism during his service as a Bishop of Arezzo.
