17th century Greek triptych of Holy Greatmartyr Demetrius of Thessaloniki with Archangels Michael & Gabriel

The triptych is executed on gold ground depicting in the central panel Holy Greatmartyr Demetrius on horseback dressed as a Roman soldier striking Satan underneath with walls of Thessaloniki behind them. The image is flanked on side panels by the full-figured depictions of Archangels Michael and Gabriel. The side panels close to a carved depiction of a double-headed Byzantine eagle.
