The relic came in. I wanted to cry. My heart was so overwhelmed with joy. On my 25th anniversary the Discalsed Monastery celebrated mass with me in their cloister. The Mother Prioress with the sisters came be a hard bound copy of his writings and his life. I feel it was the hand of Blessed Francisco was moving them. And with this holy relic he is moving me. I will do a more intensive study of him. I will place his relic in the large reliquary I have with John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila, and Therese of Liseaux. He will be at home.

16c Russian Icon of the Resurrection and the Descent into Hell (Anastasis)

A 16th-century icon depicting the Descent Into Hades and Anastasis (the Resurrection). Christ is shown in two scenes – above in the act of Resurrection and below in his descent into Hades, breaking down the doors of Hell, binding Satan and rescuing Adam and Eve. Behind them follow the kings, the prophets, and the righteous of the Old Testament, David and Solomon wearing the crowns, John the Baptist with the scroll in hand. Feast day: Easter Sunday.
