Christ's Triumphal Entry Into Jerusalem is one of 12 Major Orthodox Feasts celebrated on Palm Sunday. On the icon, Jesus is depicted astride a donkey, descending the Mount of Olives with his apostles, before him are towers of the city of Jerusalem with Jewish elders greeting him at the Gate, and a child laying cloak at his feet.
