Large Russian Icon - The Resurrection of Christ

The feast of the Resurrection of Jesus, called Pascha (Easter), is the greatest feast of the Eastern Orthodox Church. Christ is shown standing on a Roman-style sarcophagus with his right hand raised and a pendant of Christianity in his left hand. Two winged angels are shown kneeling before the Savior with a palm branch of the Martyrdom.
