Oval glass-fronted theca housing first-class ex carne (of the flesh) relic of Saint Joseph of CupertinoThe relic is identified on a cedula label as ex carne / S. Joseph a Cup. The theca is sealed by the red wax seal with a coat of arms of Fr. Giacinto della Torre O.E.S.A., (†1814), Archbishop of Turin (1805-1814). The reliquary is accompanied by the original matching authentics document hand-signed by Fr. della Torre in 1811.

Saint Joseph of Cupertino, O.F.M. Conv. (†1663) was an Italian Conventual Franciscan friar who is honored as a Christian mystic and saint. He was said to have been remarkably unclever, but prone to miraculous levitation and intense ecstatic visions that left him gaping. He is a patron of The City of Osimo, aviation, astronauts, mental handicaps, test-taking, and students.
