Large oval double-glass-paneled silver reliquary theca dating to the first quarter of the 19th-century housing relics of 18 important saintcentered around particles from the Wood of the True Cross of Jesus Christ arranged in a cruciform shape and framed with a border of natural pearls. The theca contains relics of the following saints: Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary; Saint Aloysius Gonzaga; Saint Andrew of Avellino; Saint Roch (Rocco); Saint Onuphrius the Great; Saint Maurice; Saint Catherine of Sienna; Saint Rose de Viterbo; Saint Alphonsus Liguori; Saint Pascal Baylon; Saint Anthony of Padua; Saint Francis de Paul; Saint Dominic de Guzman; Saint Peter of Verona, Martyr; Saint Paul the Apostle and Saint Peter the Apostle.
The relics are affixed to a red stamped metal background decorated around the border with thick twisted silver wire ornamentation and identified on hand-written paper cedulae labels. On the back, the theca is secured with a perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of a Catholic bishop.
