1990 Vatican-documented reliquary theca with relics of St. Ursula, Martyr, Patron of orphans & students

Round yellow-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing first-class ex Ossibus  (of the bone) relic of Saint Ursula, Martyr. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on typeset cedula label as S. Ursulae V. et M.  (Saint Ursula, Virgin & Martyr).  On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Fr. Petrus Canisius Jean van Lierde, O.S.A. (†1995), the Titular Bishop of Parphyrion, in his capacity of the Vicar General for the Vatican City State. The relic is accompanied by the matching authentics document issued and sealed in 1990 by Fr. van Lierde.

Saint Ursula was a Romano-British Christian saint. Because of the lack of definite information about the anonymous group of holy virgins who on some uncertain date were killed at Cologne, their commemoration was omitted from the General Roman Calendar when it was revised in 1969, but they have been kept in the Roman Martyrology. She is a patron saint of Cologne, England, archers, orphans, students, Binangonan, Rizal.
