1990 Documented reliquary theca with relics of Canadian Saint Marie-Marguerite d'Youville, founder of the Order of Sisters of Charity of Montreal

Small round glass-fronted reliquary theca held in a clam-shaped silver pendant housing the first-class ex corporis (of the body) relic of the Saint Marie-Marguerite d'Youville. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in French on a typeset cedula label as Youville Ch. On the back,  the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Cardinal Jean-Claude Turcotte, the Archbishop of Montreal (1990-2012). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued on December 9, 1990 (the very day of her canonization) by Andre Cimichella, the Auxiliary bishop of Montreal.

Saint Marie-Marguerite d'Youville SGM (†1771) was a French Canadian Catholic widow who founded the Order of Sisters of Charity of Montreal, commonly known as the Grey Nuns. She was canonized by Pope John Paul II on December 9, 1990, becoming the first native-born Canadian to be declared a saint.
