18th-century silver crystal-fronted reliquary theca containing significant first-class relics of Four Evangelists: Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John. The relics are affixed to the silk background, surrounded by paperole and twisted wire ornamentation, and titled in 18th-century ductus. Theca is secured on the back by a perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of Pietro Maria Franzesi (†1799), Bishop of Montepulciano (1757-1799).
