Saint John of Saint Facundo (also known as St. John of Sahagún) (†1479) was a Spanish Augustinian friar and priest who was a leading preacher of his day, a peacemaker and reconciler of enemies among the nobles and factions of Salamanca. His devotion to the Blessed Sacrament was so great that he spent every night, from the hour of Matins at midnight, to the hour of Mass in the morning, in adoration of the Blessed Eucharist. He was often privileged in the saying of Mass to see Christ visibly in the Blessed Eucharist.He is the patron saint of Salamanca in Spain. His feastday is celebrated on 11 June.
Saint John of Ávila (†1569) was a Spanish priest, preacher, scholastic author, and religious mystic, who has been declared a saint and Doctor of the Church by the Catholic Church. He is called the "Apostle of Andalusia" for his extensive ministry in that region. His feastday is celebrated on 11 June.
