Russian Icon - Saint Paisios (Pishoy or Bishoy) the Desert Monk with 3 border saints

Saint Bishoy (†417 AD), known in the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria as the Star of the Desert and the Beloved of our Good Savior, is an Egyptian desert father. He is said to have seen Jesus and that his body is preserved to the present day in incorruptibility at the Monastery of Saint Bishoy at the Natroon Desert, Egypt. He is venerated by the Oriental Orthodox Churches and the Eastern Orthodox Churches, and is known in the latter under the Greek version of his name, Paisios.

The Saint Paisios is depicted half-figured dressed in monk's robe and blessing with his right hand. Christ in Heavens is depicted on the upper left and three family saints are shown on vertical borders. The saint is identified in Old Slavonic as "Venerable Paisios".
