Our Lady of Chernigov-Gethsemane is a miracleworking icon that became famous in 1662 when it saved a monastery near the town of Chernigov from the Tatar invaders. The icon was revealed at the Trinity-Ilyin monastery near Chernigov on Mount Boldina, and where in the eleventh century Saint Anthony of the Kiev Caves struggled in asceticism. The icon is commemorated on September 1.
The border saints are St. Matrena, St. John the Theologian, and St. Martyress Anastasia.
