The back of the cross opens after removing a small pin to display six certifications seals with a coat of arms of Monsignor Constantino Patrizi Naro (+1876), Prefect of the Apostolic Palace and the archpriest of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, from 1845 to 1867. The cross comes in a tear-shaped case of tooled Florentine leather.
