Oval silvered brass glass-fronted reliquary theca housing relics of the Holy Family: from Sepulcher of the Blessed Virgin Mary, of Her husband St. Joseph, Her mother St. Anne, nephew St. John the Baptist, and of his John's parents: St. Zechariah, and St. Elizabeth. Relics are affixed to the red silk background decorated with silver wire ornamentation and identified on manuscript paper cedulae labels as Ex Sepulcre B.VM. (from the Sepulcher of the Blessed Virgin Mary), S. Joseph Spons, V. M. (St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary), S. Annae M. V. M. (St. Anne, mother the Blessed Virgin Mary), S. Ioannis Baptis. (St. John the Baptist), S. Zechariae (St. Zechariah), S. Elizabeth Zech (St. Elizabeth wife of Zechariah). On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a perfectly-preserved seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Fr. Etienne (Stefano) Missir (†), Titular Bishop of Irenopolis. The relic is accompanied by an original matching authentics document issued and signed by Fr. Missir in 1840 by the order of Gregory XVI (p. 1831-1846).
