Reliquary theca with a relic of the Blessed Pacificus of Ceredano

Oval glass-fronted brass theca housing a first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Blessed Pacificus of Ceredano. The relic is affixed to a silk background and identified on a bi-color manuscript cedula label as Ex Ossibus / B. Pacifici (of the bone of the Blessed Pacificus).  On the back,  under a protective cap, the theca is secured by a seal of red Spanish wax with an imprint of a coat of arms of an unidentified Roman Catholic Bishop.

The Blessed Pacificus da Ceredano, OFM (†1482) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and a professed member from the Order of Friars Minor. Pope Benedict XIV approved his "cultus" and beatified him in 1745. His feast day is commemorated on June 4.
