Reliquary theca with relics of the Blessed Niccolo Albergati, patron of learning

Oval brass glass-fronted reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of the Blessed Niccolò Albergati. The relic is affixed to a gilt paper starburst on a red silk ground and identified in Latin on the fancy manuscript cedula label as Ex Oss. B. Nicolai Albergati (of the bone of the Blessed Niccolò Albergati) On the back,  the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of an unidentified Roman Catholic Bishop. 

Blessed Niccolo Albergati († 1443) was an Italian cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church as well as a member of the Carthusian Order and was also a diplomat for the Holy See. He was proclaimed Blessed in 1744.
