1990 Documented reliquary theca with relics of the Blessed George Matulaitis-Matulewicz

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing ex fultura brachiali et crurali  (from the support of arm and leg) relic of the Blessed George Matulaitis-Matulewicz. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground in a cruciform shape and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as B. Georgii Matulaitis Ep. (the Blessed George Matulaitis, Bishop). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued on 27 January 1990 by the Postulator General of the Order.

Blessed George Matulaitis (†1927) was a Roman Catholic Bishop of Vilnius from 1918 to 1925 and founder of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Dubbed the "Marian Renovator," the Lithuanian-born Blessed George was the priest who envisioned religious working together with the laity for the good of the Church. The principles he wrote about are defining points of the Association of Marian Helpers. He was beatified on 28 June 1987, by Pope John Paul II.
