1951 Documented reliquary theca with relic of St. Alberico Crescitelli (Guo Xide), the Martyr of China

Round glass-fronted white-metal reliquary theca housing the second-class ex indumentis  (of the clothes) pre-canonization relic of Saint Alberico CrescitelliA relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as B. Alberici / Crescitelli, M. ( the Blessed Alberico Crescitelli).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured by a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Apostolic Missionary of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued by the Institute on 18 February 1951. 

Saint Alberico Crescitelli (†1900), known by his Chinese name Guo Xide, was an Italian Catholic priest and missionary to China who was martyred during the Boxer Rebellion. .On 18 February 1951, Pope Pius XII declared Alberico Crescitelli "blessed." Pope John Paul II included him in the list of 120 Martyr Saints of China canonized in St. Peter's Square on October 1, 2000. His feast day is commemorated on 22 July and 28 September as one of the Martyrs of China.
