1988 Documented reliquary theca with relic of the 7 Holy Founders of the Servite Order

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of the bone) relic of The Seven Holy Founders of the Servite Order.A relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as 7 SS.Fundatores O.S.M. (The Seven Holy Founders of the Servite Order).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured by a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Postulator General of the Order of Servants of Mary (The Servite Order). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued by the Order on 1 September 1988. 

The Seven Holy Founders of the Servite Order (Ordo Servorum Beatae Mariae Virginis) were: Buonfiglio dei Monaldi (Bonfilius), Giovanni di Buonagiunta (Bonajuncta), Amadeus of the Amidei (Bartolomeus), Ricovero dei Lippi-Ugguccioni (Hugh), Benedetto dell' Antella (Manettus), Gherardino di Sostegno (Sostene), and Alessio de' Falconieri (Alexius). They have a common feast day on 17 February. All seven were beatified December 1, 1717 by Pope Clement XI and canonized by Pope Leo XIII in 1888.
