1993 Documented reliquary theca with relics of the Blessed José Cecilio, Martyr of Almeria

Round yellow-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of the bone) relic of the Blessed José Cecilio. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as Ex Ossibus B. Josephi Caecilii (of a bone of the Blessed José Cecilio).  On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (the La Salle Brothers). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and sealed in 1993 (the year of his beatification) by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the Causes of Canonization.

Blessed José Cecilio (Bonifacio Rodríguez González) (†1936) was a Brother of the Christian Schools and one of the seven Martyrs of Almeria who were condemned to death during the Spanish Civil War because of professing and teaching their Catholic faith. Seven Brothers of the Christian Schools in Almeria were martyred in two different circumstances in the year 1936. He was beatified on October 10, 1993.
