Round yellow-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Saint Leonard of Port Maurice. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as S. Leonardi a P.M. (Saint Leonard of Port Maurice). On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Discalced Carmelite Order. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and sealed in 2003 (the year of her canonization) by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the Causes of Canonization.
Saint María de las Maravillas de Jesús, OCD (†1974) was a Spanish Discalced Carmelite nun renowned for her deep spirituality and dedication to the Carmelite charism. Entering the Carmel of El Escorial in 1920, she founded numerous convents across Spain and India, emphasizing contemplative prayer and poverty. Known for her humility, charity, and obedience, she guided her communities through the challenges of the Spanish Civil War. Canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2003, her life exemplified unwavering faith, mystical union with God, and service to the Church through contemplative life. Her Feast Day is commemorated on December 11.
