2003 Documented reliquary theca with relic of St. Giulia Salzano, founder of the Catechetical Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Round yellow-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing a first-class Ex ossibus (of the bone) pre-canonization relic of Saint Giulia Salzano. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as Beatae Iuliani Salzano // ex ossibus (of the bone of the Blessed Giulia Salzano).  On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Catechetical Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and sealed on 27 April 2003 (the very day of her beatification) by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the Causes of Canonization.

Saint Giulia Salzano (†1929) was an Italian Roman Catholic professed religious and the founder of the Catechetical Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (1905). She served as a teacher prior to becoming a religious and worked in Casoria as a teacher for children where she demonstrated herself as an apt catechist and instructor. Pope John Paul II beatified her on 27 April 2003. Pope Benedict XVI canonized her as a saint in Saint Peter's Square on 17 October 2010. Her feast day is celebrated on 17 May.
