Reliquary theca with relics of Saint Anne, Mother of the Virgin Mary

Round hallmarked silver theca housing second class relic of Saint Anne, Mother of the Virgin Mary. The relic is affixed to the background of red silk and identified as S. Anne Martris. Under protective cap the theca is sealed by the red wax seal with a Coat of arms of cardinal Clemente Micara, Vicar General of Rome.

 Saint Anne was the mother of Mary and grandmother of Jesus according to apocryphal Christian and Islamic tradition.
