1982 Documented reliquary theca with relics of the Blessed Alain de Solminihac

Round glass-fronted white-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of the bones) relics of the Blessed Alain de SolminihacThe relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as B. Alani d. S. (fthe Blessed Alain de Solminihac).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Fr. Emilio Dunoyer, the Postulator General of the Canons Regular of Saint Augustine of Chancelade in Périgueux. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued in 1982 by Fr. Dunoyer.

Blessed Alain de Solminihac (†1659) was a French Roman Catholic religious reformer who served as the Bishop of Cahors from 1636 until his death. Solminihac was a professed member of the Canons Regular of Saint Augustine of Chancelade in Périgueux, an order now extinct. He was also a member of the Compagnie du Saint-Sacrement, and acquainted with Vincent de Paul and Francis de Sales. Pope John Paul II beatified him on 4 October 1981.
