1985 Documented reliquary theca with relics of the Blessed Peter Friedhofen, founder of the Brothers of Mercy of Mary Help of Christians

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex corpore  (of the body) relics of the Blessed Peter Friedhofen. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as Beatus Petrus Friedhofen (Blessed Peter Friedhofen).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Brothers of Mercy of Mary Help of Christians. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued in 1975 (the year of his beatification) by the Postulator General of the Order.

Blessed Peter Friedhofen (†1860) was a German Roman Catholic professed religious and the founder of the Brothers of Mercy of Mary Help of Christians. Friedhofen worked as a chimney sweep with his older brother until the latter died. This prompted Friedhofen to take care of his brother's widow and children until he founded his own religious order in mid-1850. Pope John Paul II beatified Friedhofen on 23 June 1985.
