1952 Documented reliquary theca with relic of St. Maria Crocifissa Di Rosa, founder of the Ancelle della Carità

Small round glass-fronted white-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of the bone) relic of St. Maria Crocifissa Di Rosa. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on typeset cedula label as Ex Ossibus S. Mariae // Crucifixae di Rosa ( of the bone of St. Maria Crocifissa Di Rosa).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured by a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Postulator General of the the Order of the Most Holy Trinity and of the Captives (better known as the Trinitarians). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued by the Order on 12 June 1954, the next day after her canonization.

Saint Maria Crocifissa Di Rosa (†1855) - was an Italian Roman Catholic professed religious and the founder of the Ancelle della carità (1839). Di Rosa worked first at her father's spinning mill where she - with his encouragement - tended to the spiritual and material needs of the female workers while gathering several women to dedicate their collective efforts to caring for the poor; this formed the basis for the establishment of her religious congregation. Her apostolate prioritized tending to the ill in hospitals and to soldiers going to the front. Her beatification was celebrated in 1940 by Pope Pius XII who canonized her over a decade later on 12 June 1954.
