Saint Gertrude the Great († ca. 1302) was a German Benedictine nun, mystic, and theologian. Patron of West Indies. Gertrude showed "tender sympathy towards the souls in purgatory" and urged prayers for them. She is therefore invoked for suffering souls in purgatory.

Gertrudis V.and secured by perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax with coat of arms of Luigi Fransoni († 1862) Archbishop of Turin (1832-1862).
