Documented theca with relics of St. Anne, Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Early 19th-century oval silver glass-fronted reliquary theca housing first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Saint Anne, Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The relic is affixed to a golden paper starburst on red silk background decorated with a silver cord and identified on a manuscript cedula label as [Ex] Oss. S. Anne M BV[M] (From the bone of Saint Anne, Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary). On the back, the theca is secured with a perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Monsignor Antonio Felice Zondadari (†1823), Archbishop of Siena (1795-1823). It is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued by Fr. Zondadari in 1809. 

Saint Anne was the mother of Mary and grandmother of Jesus according to apocryphal Christian and Islamic tradition.
