Documented theca with relics of St Anne, Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Metal glass-fronted theca containing documented first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic Saint Anne. The relic is affixed to a red paper starburst affixed to the blue silk background, surrounded by silver wire ornamentation, and titled on a typeset cedula label as S. Annae Matr. (St. Anne, Mother [of the Blessed Virgin Mary]).  On the back, under a metal cap, the theca is secured by a perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax bearing a clear imprint of the coat of arms of Fr. Ludovic Theissling, O.P. (†1925), Master of the Order of Preachers (better known as the Dominican Order). The theca is accompanied by the original authentics document issued and signed by Fr. Theissling in 1924.

Saint Anne was the mother of Mary and grandmother of Jesus according to apocryphal Christian and Islamic tradition. She is a holy patron of Canada, carpenters; childless people; equestrians; grandparents; homemakers/housewives; lace makers; lost articles; Fasnia (Tenerife); Mainar; Detroit; miners; mothers; moving house; old-clothes dealers; poverty; pregnancy; seamstresses; stablemen; sterility; mothers; and children.
