1993 Documented reliquary theca with relics of the Blessed Aurelio Maria, Spanish Civil War Martyr of Almeria

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of a bone) relics of the Blessed Aurelio Maria. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as Ex Ossibus B. Aurelii Mariae (from the bone of the Blessed Aurelio Maria.).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (The De La Salle Brothers). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued in 1993 (the year of his beatification) by the Postulator General of the Order.

Blessed Aurelio Maria was the director of St. Joseph College in Almería, (Spanish region of Andalucia) and was one of the 11 Martyrs of Almeria. He was killed for his faith during the Spanish Civil War, along with more than 6,800 clergy and religious were martyred by Republicans. As of June 2022, 2,095 Spanish martyrs have been beatified, 11 of them are in the process of being canonized. For some 2,000 additional martyrs, the beatification process is underway.
